What are your options?
Independent Home School
Parents are required to submit an Intent to Homeschool form and register with their local school district. They must annually notify the director of schools in their district prior to the start of each school year. Records must be kept of the students academics and submitted to the director of schools at the end of each term, along with vaccination records.
Church-Related Umbrella School
Families can choose to enroll in a church-related umbrella school which dictates how grades are recorded and state requirements are met. Parents or guardians only need to provide proof of enrollment.
Accredited Online School
Families may choose to enroll in an accredited online school. Please see Tennessee Department of Education website for a full list of accepted regional accrediting agencies.
