Homeschooling under the Homeschool Statute

According to the Homeschool Statute, any famly can decide to homeschool without restriction, and without the need to notify the school district.

Correspondence Schools

As stated in Article 3 of the Alaska education bylaws, families can choose to homeschool through what are known as correspondence schools. Not dissimilar to the way charter schools operate in some states, they provide resources and funds for homeschooling families.
