Mission

The National Association of Home and Hybrid Education (HHE) is a secular organization advocating for and amplifying the diverse voices of homeschooling families and alternative learning methods.

Code of Ethical Conduct

We recognize that with diversity comes a wide spectrum of beliefs and values. In order to share the wisdom and knowledge within our community, we rely on safe spaces in which to learn and grow. These are the foundation for open-mindedness and connection we strive to have in our community. We fully acknowledge that safety does not always mean comfort for all. The following agreements are written to help align our HHE community in engaging with each other.

Please, exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.

During any virtual or in-person event help ensure that our environments remain free from harassment or abuse in any form. This includes and is not limited to, refraining from harmful comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin, inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations, threatening, harming, or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, HHE staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest.

Help ensure disruption-free virtual and physical meetings (e.g., “zoom-bombing”).  Promote the creation and contribution of safe and inclusive situations and events.

Please refrain from audio or visual recordings of physical and virtual meetings in any medium— no distribution of audio or visual recordings of the physical or virtual meetings (via social media or any other means) is permitted without the express written permission of HHE.  In addition, the taking or distributing of pictures or copies of research posters/presentation materials is prohibited unless explicit permission is granted.

Please note that our logo and likeness are for the use of HHE only. Outside use can only be authorized under written agreement.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Participants violating these rules may be expelled from events without a refund at the discretion of HHE and the option to revoke membership may be considered and rendered.
